One person died after a motorcycle crash in Canton on Sunday.

CANTON, Ohio — Police reported that one person was killed following an early Sunday morning motorcycle crash in Canton.

The Canton Police Department said officers responded to a report of a crash with injuries in the 400 block of 30th Street NW around 12:30 a.m. Authorities stated that a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle was traveling west on 30th Street NW when it collided with a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox that was turning east onto 30th Street NW from a residential driveway.

The motorcyclist was thrown from the bike and pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials said it is not yet known whether drugs, alcohol, or speed played a role in the crash.
