OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) — Three people were injured in a three-vehicle crash on the Dodge Expressway Wednesday evening, according to Omaha police.

Emergency crews responded to the area near 118th Street and the Dodge Expressway around 5:58 p.m.

An officer said a Toyota Highlander rear-ended a Buick sedan. A box truck then struck the Highlander from behind, pushing it into the Buick a second time.

The backseat passenger in the Highlander suffered severe injuries and was taken to Nebraska Medicine.

The driver and front-seat passenger were also transported to Nebraska Medicine with injuries.
