OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – It’s a chilly St. Patrick’s Day. If you’re heading out to celebrate, make sure you dress warmly. Temperatures will only reach the low to mid-30s at best. Snow showers will clear this afternoon, but clouds will linger into tonight. Winds will also turn breezy as the evening approaches.
A major warm-up will take over for the rest of the week. Temperatures will start in the 20s tomorrow morning, then climb to the low 70s by the afternoon. It should be a great opportunity to get outside if the recent cold has kept you indoors.
Thursday will bring another sunny day with highs in the 70s. Friday will turn even warmer, with temperatures reaching the 80s for the first day of spring.
Both Friday and Saturday could bring record-breaking highs.
A north wind will strengthen Saturday night and pull in much colder air for Sunday. This shift will bring cooler temperatures and breezy conditions to close out the weekend. Highs in the 50s will continue into early next week, with 60s returning by midweek.
