LOCKLAND, Ohio (WKRC) – Police arrested two men after a party escalated Thursday night in Lockland. Authorities say Quinton Thomas and Tremell Jones tried to incite the crowd when officers instructed the group to end the gathering.
Officers responded to Wyoming Avenue near North Wayne around 9:30 p.m., where they encountered a large group playing loud music and blocking sidewalks.
According to police, the group ignored their instructions, prompting additional law enforcement agencies to assist with crowd control. Officers then issued a final order to shut down the party.
Police said Thomas and Jones became aggressive toward officers and attempted to encourage the crowd to act disorderly and ignore commands.
When officers moved in to arrest them, both men resisted. Authorities used Pepperball rounds to take them into custody.
They face charges of inciting a riot, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. Thomas is also charged with using weapons while intoxicated after reportedly having a gun on him at the time.
Both men have since been released on bond.
