CINCINNATI (WXIX) – A man arrested following a Madisonville shooting that injured five people has received a sentence of more than six years in prison on firearm and drug charges, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Ohio.
Myron Nichols, 29, of Mt. Healthy, was taken into custody and charged with multiple weapons and fentanyl-related offenses, records show.
Prosecutors said officers responded to Kellogg Avenue in November 2024 after reports of a fight, where they identified Nichols inside a stolen vehicle. When police attempted to stop him, he ran on foot but officers eventually caught him.
Authorities recovered a pistol from his jacket pocket, and officers also discovered a significant amount of fentanyl and a fentanyl mixture inside the stolen car.
Nichols later pleaded guilty in October 2025.
According to the Cincinnati Police Department, officers had previously arrested Nichols in November 2024 on similar charges tied to a shooting that wounded five people at Bramble Park in June of that year.
Court records from Hamilton County Municipal Court state that Nichols “reported being a victim” in the Bramble Park shooting and was not accused of firing a weapon.
However, the criminal complaint notes that video footage showed Nichols fleeing the scene while holding a gun in his right hand.
Four people suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the shooting, while one person sustained critical injuries.
