Temperatures climb into the 80s starting Monday

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Summer-like weather is making a return across Nebraska, with highs rising into the 80s and possibly reaching the 90s through Thursday.

The Warm-Up

Monday begins the stretch with pleasant and warm conditions. Tuesday will be the hottest day, with highs nearing 90 degrees across much of the state.

Conditions turn more active late Wednesday into Thursday as shower and storm chances increase. An upper-level disturbance and a cold front will move through, bringing a more organized round of rain and storms.

The Cool Down

The cold front will bring temperatures back down into the low to mid 60s by next weekend. Showers may return later in the weekend as well.
