Second round of rain expected to follow

The weather will stay calm and dry overnight, but temperatures will be cool. Cincinnati is expected to drop into the low 50s for the Monday morning commute, so kids will likely need a coat.
Monday will turn breezy and warmer, with most of the Tri-State reaching around 80 degrees. This depends on staying dry long enough, which looks likely.
A line of showers and storms is expected to move into the Tri-State from the west, most likely during the evening. These storms could arrive at their strongest, with the potential to become severe. If severe weather develops, damaging winds will be the primary concern. The storms should gradually weaken as they move farther east. It’s a good idea to secure any outdoor items that could be blown away before the storms arrive.
Severe storm risk
Additional waves of showers and storms are expected late Monday night and overnight, but conditions should clear in time for the Tuesday morning commute.
Most of Tuesday will remain dry, with a mix of sun and clouds during the afternoon. Temperatures will be slightly cooler but still above average, reaching the mid-70s.
A second round of showers and storms is expected to move in from the south late Tuesday night, with rain likely continuing into Wednesday morning. These storms carry only a very small risk of becoming severe.

Cooler air will move in behind these systems, bringing temperatures down to the upper 60s by Wednesday afternoon.
A stretch of cooler weather will follow, with highs ranging from the upper 50s to low 60s from Thursday through Sunday. The coldest mornings are expected over the weekend, with temperatures dropping into the upper 30s. This will create a cool and crisp forecast for the Flying Pig.
Cincinnati is expected to warm back into the low 70s early next week, though more rain could return by next Tuesday.
