One dead after rollover crash in Ohio

OHIO — One person died and another was injured after a rollover crash Wednesday night in Coitsville, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash occurred around 9 p.m. in the 6400 block of McGuffey Road. Investigators found that the vehicle was traveling eastbound when the driver lost control after passing through two culverts.

Emergency crews transported both the driver and passenger to a hospital in critical condition. Authorities later reported that the driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries, while the passenger, identified as 53-year-old Shun Moreland of Struthers, died from his injuries.

Troopers also stated that neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

First responders from the Coitsville Police and Fire Departments, along with the Ohio State Highway Patrol, responded to the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
