OHIO — A Wickliffe, Ohio man is celebrating a lottery prize exceeding $140,000 after choosing numbers based on family birthdays, according to the Ohio Lottery.

Lottery officials said he bought three Rolling Cash 5 tickets for the April 11, 2026 drawing but initially forgot to check them. When he later reviewed the numbers, he realized he had hit the jackpot.

As the sole jackpot winner, he received $140,000, along with an extra $300 for matching four of the five numbers. After federal and state taxes totaling 26.75%, his final payout came to $102,769.75.

The winning numbers were 3-3-17-22-27. The winner told officials he selected the combination using his own birthdate and the birthdays of four close family members.

He said he plans to leave the money in the bank for a few months while deciding how to use it. For now, he intends to clear bills and buy a video game system to play online with family.

The winning ticket was purchased at Players Café, located at 17 West 5th Street in Columbus, Ohio.

According to the Ohio Lottery, the odds of matching all five numbers in Rolling Cash 5 stand at 1 in 575,757.
