A man faces charges after deputies reportedly discovered multiple drugs during a traffic stop and said he later tried to bribe a deputy to avoid arrest.
LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Authorities charged a man after deputies allegedly found several drugs, including methamphetamine, during a traffic stop and said he later attempted to bribe a deputy to avoid being taken into custody.

Around 2 a.m. Thursday, court documents state that a Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office deputy was patrolling Interstate 80 just outside Lincoln when he spotted a 2004 Cadillac Escalade speeding eastbound.

The deputy pulled the vehicle over and identified Billie Dunning, 52, as the driver and Tony Ybarra, 31, as the front-seat passenger.

As the deputy approached, he noticed an open alcohol container, a pill bottle, and a glass bong with suspected meth residue inside the vehicle.

During a search of Ybarra, the deputy reportedly found a loaded Rohm RG-14 revolver with an etched-off serial number in his front right pocket, according to court documents. Authorities also determined that Ybarra is a convicted felon from Mississippi.

After discovering the firearm, Ybarra allegedly offered the deputy $7,000 in exchange for not taking him into custody.

A probable cause search of the vehicle uncovered 382.8 grams of methamphetamine, 8.2 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, marijuana, and several unidentified pills.

Authorities arrested both Ybarra and Dunning and booked them into the Lancaster County Jail. Ybarra now faces multiple charges, including:

Possession of 140 grams or more of methamphetamine
Possession of a defaced firearm
Possession of money while facilitating a drug violation
Bribery
Five counts of possession of a controlled substance
No drug tax stamp

Ybarra’s bond was set at 10% of $750,000, and his next court appearance is scheduled for May 15.

Dunning was charged with distributing a hazardous drug. Her bond was set at 10% of $75,000, with her next hearing also scheduled for May 15.
