CINCINNATI — Cincinnati Metro is marking Earth Day by introducing new electric buses to its fleet.

On Wednesday, the public can check out the buses at the Northside Transit Center from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Guests will also have the chance to earn Rider Rewards points and pick up some swag.

At 10:30 a.m., Cincinnati Metro plans to “flip the switch” on this new phase of its transit system and invite regional leaders to speak about the impact of the buses.

The announcement follows Metro’s recent effort to modernize its bus signs. Earlier this month, it unveiled the first set and plans to replace 3,700 signs across Hamilton County over the next two years.

Metro said the upgrades aim to improve outdated signage and enhance the rider experience.
