CINCINNATI (WKRC) — The Cincinnati Reds partnered with a local nonprofit for their annual food drive on Sunday.
The Peanut Butter Jam gives people the opportunity to donate one of the most requested food pantry items — jars of peanut butter — to families in need. The drive also supports Realizing the Dream, a nonprofit focused on encouraging community service in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.
Reds owner, president, and CEO Phil Castellini said the initiative is a meaningful way to give back to the city, one jar at a time.
“We hope to collect two or three times what we did last year, so it’s just a great way to get the Reds fans and the community engaged and helping the community,” Castellini said.
More than 600 jars of peanut butter were donated in 2025. This year, that total jumped significantly, reaching 3,600 donations, according to the Reds.
