CINCINNATI — A Cincinnati man has pleaded guilty to stealing hundreds of pieces of mail that investigators said were intended for a national bank.

Isaac Jackson, 32, entered his guilty plea Wednesday and will be sentenced at a later date. He will also be required to pay at least $235,000 in restitution.

According to the United States Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio, Jackson used an employee’s badge to gain access to the U.S. Postal Service Network Distribution Center in Sharonville last October, where he stole the mail.

Investigators said Jackson placed the mail into two duffel bags and carried out the theft on three separate occasions.

The bank reported that 769 mail parcels were stolen during those incidents, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Authorities did not identify the bank involved or its location.
