OHIO — Authorities arrested a 41-year-old man Tuesday after a large police response to a home in Lyons, where investigators found materials linked to possible explosive activity.

According to the Toledo Police Department, officers from multiple agencies responded to the 600 block of North Adrian Street. The scene drew a heavy police presence, and officials blocked traffic in the surrounding area while crews conducted their investigation.

Investigators said they located powders and chemicals inside the home, including thermite, a substance capable of producing extremely high heat. However, officials confirmed that no improvised explosive devices were found, and the Bomb Squad later cleared the scene.

Police identified the suspect as Rory Figley, 41, who was taken into custody at the residence. Records show he had outstanding charges for domestic violence and strangulation at the time of his arrest.

Authorities said additional federal charges could follow. Investigators collected evidence from the home, and the case remains under investigation.
