Police shut down Carter Lake Shore Drive during investigation
One victim remains in critical condition.
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Three people were hospitalized after a shooting near Levi Carter Park early Sunday morning.
The incident occurred just after 1 a.m. near Carter Lake Shore Drive and Ames Avenue.
At the scene, Omaha Police officers found a 19-year-old woman with gunshot wounds. She was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
In a Sunday morning update, OPD said two 20-year-old men also arrived at the hospital while officers were still on scene. Investigators determined they were injured in the same shooting near Levi Carter Park.
Police blocked a section of Carter Lake Shore Drive, from Ames Avenue to Carter Boulevard, as they conducted their investigation.
