OHIO — Thousands of residents across the state were without electricity Friday morning, according to the latest data from PowerOutage.us.

As of the most recent update, about 3,175 customers statewide were without power, representing roughly 0.06% of more than 5.4 million customers tracked.

Cuyahoga County reported the highest number of outages, with 2,012 customers affected. Other impacted counties included Vinton County with 339 outages, Lorain County with 220, and Muskingum County with 153. Smaller outages were also reported in Gallia, Trumbull, Perry, and Franklin counties.

Among utilities, Cleveland Public Power reported the largest number of outages with 1,942 customers affected, or about 2.64% of its service area. FirstEnergy and American Electric Power Ohio each reported more than 400 outages, while Buckeye Rural Electric reported 343 outages.

Statewide, Ohio ranked among the highest in the nation for outages, with the third-largest total and the fifth-highest percentage of affected customers.

Restoration work is ongoing, and customers are being urged to report outages directly to their utility providers.
