Police seek suspect accused of stealing $1,600 puppy in burglary

Cincinnati police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man wanted on felony robbery and burglary charges after he allegedly stole a $1,600 puppy.

The incidents took place last March, according to an arrest warrant.

According to Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky CrimeStoppers, Jonathan Martin, 39, entered a home through a window while family members were asleep and damaged part of the first floor before taking the dog.

Detectives say Martin later returned to the home and forcibly took the victim’s car keys from her before fleeing in her vehicle.

Martin is described as a Black man, about 6 feet tall and weighing around 230 pounds.

Officials say he has a history of money laundering, theft, and telecommunications fraud. He was last known to live in the 3700 block of Vine Street in Avondale.
