GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) — A 35-year-old man was hospitalized with serious injuries after being struck by a train Sunday afternoon, according to the Grand Island Fire Department.
The incident occurred around 1:09 p.m. at the railroad crossing near Third Street and Broadwell Avenue.
Authorities said the man was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Police remained on the scene following the incident, and the tracks in the area were closed.
Officials have not released additional details, and the situation remains under investigation.
