Cincinnati (WKRC) — A Cincinnati woman is accused of shooting the father of her children following an argument, forcing him to flee the scene in a neighbor’s car.
According to court documents from the Hamilton County Municipal Court, Yomaris Powers was involved in a verbal dispute with the victim on April 11 inside her home.
“The father went into a bedroom and shut the door behind him,” the documents state. “Yomaris Powers later opened the door to the bedroom, pointed a handgun at the victim, and fired one single shot, striking him in the shoulder.”
The victim reportedly escaped by driving away in a neighbor’s vehicle.
Police said Powers was arrested at the scene and is now facing charges of felonious assault and domestic violence.
