Omaha Central Girls Wrestling Competes at A-2 District Championships
The Omaha Central Eagles girls wrestling team is set to compete at the 2025 A-2 NSAA District Wrestling Tournament this Saturday, February 8, at Kearney High School. The meet will feature top programs from across Nebraska as wrestlers battle for a chance to qualify for the 2025 NSAA State Wrestling Championships.

Teams Competing:
The A-2 District field includes 14 teams, featuring tough competition from Kearney, Bennington, Grand Island, Lincoln North Star, Lincoln Northwest, Lincoln Southeast, Millard West, Omaha Bryan, Omaha Concordia, Omaha Marian, Omaha South, Schuyler, Wayne, and Omaha Central.
Path to State:
The top four wrestlers in each weight class will qualify for the 2025 NSAA State Championships. Individual district champions will receive medals, a championship t-shirt, and a wall chart.
Schedule of Events:
- 7:30 AM – Weigh-Ins
- 8:00 AM – Seeding Meeting
- 9:00 AM – Quarterfinals
- Semifinals & 1st Round Consolation (Immediately Following)
- Consolation Semifinals & Finals (After Lunch)
The tournament will start on three mats before shifting to two mats for the semifinals and finals.
