The first of nine events takes place Friday morning, allowing Cincinnati residents to drop off large waste items such as furniture, construction debris, and tires.

“Don’t Dump the ’Nati” is a program by Keep Cincinnati Beautiful that focuses on reducing illegal dumping and litter; it collected more than a million pounds of waste last year.

The initiative began a few years ago as a pilot program.

“It’s a completely free event,” said KCB Environmental Services and Green Space Director Alistair Probst. “Bring your unwanted items and recycle or dispose of them for free during our event hours.”

This year, all events will be held in Queensgate. Participation is limited to Cincinnati residents, as the city partially funds the program.

“Please bring a form of identification,” Probst said. “We will be checking your address to see if your residence falls within the city limits.”

What can you drop off?
Refer to KCB’s Waste Disposal Guide for options on donating, composting, recycling, and properly disposing of unwanted items.
