Fire broke out on the back side of a home and deck early Sunday morning.
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – One person was treated for smoke inhalation following a house fire in Omaha early Sunday.
The fire started around 3 a.m. near 154th and Burt Street.
When crews arrived, they found heavy flames coming from the back of the house and the deck.
All residents had already made it outside safely. One person received treatment at the scene for smoke inhalation.
Firefighters said it took about 20 minutes to bring the fire under control. Damage to the home is estimated at $200,000.
Officials with the Omaha Fire Department said careless disposal of fire pit debris caused the fire.
