A West Blocton man died Tuesday following a head-on collision in Bibb County, Alabama State Troopers confirmed.

Sergeant Reginal King, a spokesperson for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency in the Tuscaloosa area, said the crash occurred on Bibb County Road 9 at about 8:45 a.m. Tuesday.

King said 37-year-old Brandon L. Seagle of West Blocton was driving a 2013 Honda Accord when it collided head-on with a 2022 Jeep Cherokee driven by another West Blocton man.

King said Seagle was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, and first responders pronounced him dead at the scene.

According to the Troopers, the other driver suffered injuries and was transported to Bibb Medical Center for medical treatment.

King said the crash occurred on County 9 near Blue Pond Road, about 10 miles west of the town of Woodstock in Bibb County.

No additional details were available Wednesday as Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
