OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – One man was injured and another taken into custody following a cutting at an Omaha apartment complex early Wednesday.

Timothy Fountain, 66, was booked on charges of first-degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony related to the case.

Just before 1 a.m. Wednesday, Omaha police responded to a call near Maplewood Boulevard and Maple Street.

In an updated release, police said the victim, a 58-year-old man, was transported to the hospital with critical injuries.

Officers later arrested Fountain and booked him into Douglas County Corrections. Authorities said the victim remains in critical condition.
