Police arrested a woman following a late-night crash in Omaha on Tuesday that left three people injured.
The incident occurred just after 10 p.m. near Fontenelle Boulevard and Maple Street.
According to an update from the Omaha Police Department, officers took a 28-year-old woman into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence.
The crash involved a Chevy Impala and a Nissan Rogue. Investigators determined the Rogue was traveling westbound on Maple Street when it failed to yield at a flashing red traffic signal.
After entering the intersection, the Rogue collided with the northbound Impala.
Police said the front-seat passenger in the Rogue suffered critical injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Medics also transported the driver of the Impala and a back-seat passenger in the Rogue with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities have not yet released the suspect’s name, and the investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
