OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – A motorcyclist was injured in a crash in Omaha on Wednesday night.

The incident took place shortly after 7:15 p.m. near 89th Plaza and West Dodge Road.

According to a statement from the Omaha Police Department, a 2012 Chevrolet Impala was stopped at an intersection when a 2017 Yamaha YZF-R3 motorcycle rear-ended it.

Police reported that the 57-year-old motorcyclist was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

“Witnesses said the motorcycle was weaving in and out of traffic before hitting the vehicle,” the release states.
