OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Crews will close the intersection of Highway 275 and West Dodge Road in two weeks. During construction, officials will shut down the intersection of US-275 and West Dodge Road and redirect traffic. Crews will mark detour routes using proper traffic control devices and practices. Weather permitting, work is set to begin on April 6.

The westbound West Dodge Road (L-28B) exit ramp to US-275 will close. Drivers will need to follow a nearly 4-mile detour via 204th Street (US-6/N-31) south to West Center Road (N-92/US-275) west.
During construction, officials will close the intersection of US-275 and West Dodge Road and reroute traffic.
Eastbound US-275 heading south to N-92 will also close, with traffic redirected. Drivers will use eastbound West Dodge Road (L-28B) to 204th Street (US-6/N-31) south, then continue to West Center Road (N-92/US-275).
The westbound US-275 on-ramp heading north will also close and follow a detour. Drivers will use eastbound West Center Road (N-92/US-275) to 204th Street (US-6/N-31) north to reach West Dodge Road (L-28B).
The northbound US-275 free-right ramp to eastbound West Dodge Road (L-28B) will remain open to regular traffic throughout the project.
Crews will clearly mark all detour routes using proper traffic control devices and practices.
Project details
The project includes building a roundabout. Officials will maintain traffic through designated detour routes. Crews expect to complete the work by Fall 2026.
Motorists are reminded to drive carefully in and around work zones, wear seat belts, and avoid using phones while driving.
