OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The First Alert 6 Weather team has announced the return of Matt Serwe to the Omaha metro.
Serwe will join Senior Chief Meteorologist Rusty Lord and Meteorologist Emily Roehler at the WOWT weather desk in April as the new Chief Meteorologist, delivering weeknight forecasts and updates on developing weather conditions.

Serwe is leaving the Minneapolis area, where he served as a weekend meteorologist at KSTP. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences and holds the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist seal from the American Meteorological Society.
Matt said he is excited to return to Omaha, where he previously spent nine years as a morning news meteorologist. During that time, he contributed to coverage of the twin EF-4 tornadoes that struck Pilger, Nebraska, as well as the severe flooding in spring 2019.
