A Boone County teenager admitted guilt Wednesday in connection with several gun-related incidents in Columbia over the past two years.
Justin Lee Lumley, 17, received a 15-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to second-degree assault, discharging a firearm and first-degree property damage, according to court records.
The charges relate to two separate shootings that occurred in Columbia in 2024 and 2025.
As part of the guilty plea, prosecutors dropped 12 felony charges against Lumley.
Lumley’s initial charges stem from a Dec. 21, 2024, shooting that injured two people and a Jan. 27, 2025, shooting that left one person wounded, according to court documents.
Lumley pleaded guilty to shooting a person on Dec. 21, 2024, and to firing a gun at a Chevy Malibu on Jan. 27, 2025, according to court documents.
Authorities charged Lumley as an adult for the crimes.
